Young members of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, under the auspices of PDP Youth Frontier, have requested that Governors Ayodele Fayose and Nyesom Wike of Ekiti and Rivers states respectively should pay a visit to President Muhammadu Buhari, who is currently vacationing in London.
The group argued on its twitter handle @PDPNYF on Thursday that visiting Buhari who is in United Kingdom attending to his health should not be the exclusive preserve of chieftains of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC.
It would be recalled that the Senate President, Senator Bukola Saraki, on Wednesday led a team comprising the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara, and the Senate Leader, Ahmed Lawan, to London to visit Buhari. He returned with the verdict that the President is healthy and there is no cause for alarm.
Before now, Governor Ibikunle Amosun of Ogun state, a national leader of the APC Asiwaju Bola Tinubu and erstwhile interim chairman of the APC, Bisi Akande, had all went to see Buhari in London.
Dissatisfied that those who have so far gone to visit Buhari are from the ruling party, the PDP Youth Frontier posted on Twitter, “Buhari health is not the APC internal affairs alone therefore PDP youths recommending that Fayose & Wike should also visit him in London”.
