The title is currently held by number one ranked Tyron Woodley.
Usman, who has a record of 11-1 in the MMA and 6-0 in the UFC, believes he can achieve claim the title from Woodley.
“There are two fights and then I’m fighting for the title – It could be two or it could be one – I’ll beat up RDA then I can fight a title eliminator against the winner of (Colby) Covington and (Demian) Maia. Then I’m fighting for the strap mid next year,” he told KweseESPN.
