#ResumeOrResign: Niger Delta Youths Declare “Total Support” For President Buhari


Ove 100 days since President Muhammadu Buhari left the shores of Nigeria to London for medical treatment of an undisclosed ailment, Nigerians have expressed mixed feelings through various ways.
The aides to President Buhari have continually maintained that Buhari’s return  is subject to his United Kingdom doctors’ approval.

The President Buhari’s continued stay in London has increasingly been greeted with varying reactions from Nigerians, ranging from remarks on social media and now to physical demonstrations.
Sequel to the initial peaceful protest against President Buhari’s medical vacation organised by entertainer, Charly Boy tagged #OurMumuDonDO, and other groups’ protests, some Niger Delta Youths have carried out a demonstration in solidarity with President Buhari. 
The Niger Delta Youths took to the streets of Abuja today, Wednesday, August 16, 2017, to announce their ‘total support’ for President Buhari.
The youths paraded in abuja with with inscriptions on their placards reading, “The entire Niger Delta supports President Buhari,” “PDP stop anti-Buhari protest,” “Benin youths support President Buhari”
Meanwhile, the leader of the group, Young Preye disclosed to Pulse that the protest for President Buhari’s resignation was a being orchestrated by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Preye insisted that “Nigerians should stop politicizing President Buhari’s illness because anybody can fall ill. The president has done the needful by handing over to his vice, Professor Yemi Osinbajo. All he needs now is our support and prayers not this PDP sponsored protest for his resumption or resignation”
Also, the Our Mumu Don Do group has today, announced the suspension of their daily sit-out, after marking its 10-days of protest at the Unity Fountain, Abuja.
