Ajimobi Reduces Salaries Of Political Appointees By Half In Oyo

The Government of Oyo on Monday reduced the salaries of all political appointees in the state by 50 per cent.
The Secretary to the State Government, Mr. Olalekan Ali, said the decision was taken at the last Executive Council meeting in the state.

Ali said the continued drop in revenue in the state was the reason for the decision.
He also announced that the government had awarded contracts to the tune of N28bn for the dualisation of four major roads in the state, saying the funds would be sourced from the Federal Government Road Intervention Fund.
