Lagos Sacks 3 Commissioners,Amosu Reshuffles Cabinet

Lagos State Governor Akinwunmi Ambode has sacked three commissioners.
Those affected are Tourism: Mr. Folorunsho Folarin-Coker, Finance: Dr. Mustapha Akinkunmi and Transportation: Dr. Ekundayo Mobereola.

Secretary to the State Government, Mr. Tunji Bello said the Governor has directed the Special Adviser, Arts and Culture to take over as Acting Commissioner for Ministry of Tourism and Culture, Special Adviser on Transportation will take over as Acting Commissioner for Transportation, while the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Finance takes over as the Acting Commissioner for Finance pending the appointment of new Commissioners in the respective ministries.
In Ogun State, a cabinet reshuffle has affected four commissioners and four special advisers.
Those affected include Ronke Sokefun, who before now was the Commissioner for Agriculture.
Sokefun moves to the Ministry of Urban and Physical Planning, Bashorun Adebola Adeife, who used to be the Commissioner for Urban and Physical Planning, now moves to the Ministry of Inter-Governmental Affairs.
Meanwhile, an attempt by traditional rulers in Ogun State yesterday to persuade workers from embarking on their planned strike today suffered a setback as the workers shunned the meeting called by the monarchs.
The monarchs, under the aegis of Ogun State Council of Obas, later at a press conference in Abeokuta called on the workers to suspend the strike in the interest of peace, progress and development of the State.
The Chairman of the Council, Oba Kehinde Olugbenle, Olu of Ilaro in his address, said the actions of the workers by shunning dialogue with the monarchs was “very disrespectful and disappointing of the workers.”
Also, the Awujale of Ijebuland, Oba Sikiru Adetona, said, “If the strike is motivated by agents from outside the state, then it is just too bad and unfortunate.”
