Gareth Bale Signs New Deal At Real Madrid

The erstwhile most expensive signing in the world, Gareth Bale has signed a new six-year contract at Real Madrid.
The Wales international made a switch from Tottenham Hotspur in the summer of 2013 to join Los Blancos and has scored 62 times in 134 appearances for the Spanish giants, winning two Champions League titles in the process.

Manchester United among others have consistently been linked with the 27-year-old but Real Madrid have announced that a fresh contract that will run until the summer of 2022 has now been signed by the Welsh
"Real Madrid and Gareth Bale have agreed an extension to the player's contract, keeping him at the club until the 30th of June 2022," read a statement from the Spanish giants. "Tomorrow, Monday at 1:30pm, Gareth Bale will appear at a press conference in the media room at the Santiago Bernabeu."
It is widely expected that Cristiano Ronaldo will also soon follow Bale in signing a new long-term contract at the Bernabeu.
