Fraudsters are cleaning out on youngsters desperate for a football career in Europe.
It has been revealed that some set of scammers are on facebook impersonating Super Eagles defender, Kenneth Omeruo.
The on-loan Chelsea defender who presently is playing in the Super Lig made a passionate appeal on Sunday that he will never demand money from anyone to help out in trials with clubs abroad.
"Pls don't be deceived by other fake Facebook accounts out there... I will never ask anyone for money to go for trials anywhere.. am not an agent.. so pls keep your money and don't let people use my name on Facebook to deceive you guys.. I know everything might look so real but they ain't.. so be smart.. thank you.. " Omeruo wrote on of his official facebook page on Sunday.
This is not the first time that fraudsters will impersonate notable figures in football to swindle people of money.
