Scout Confers Ambassador of Messenger of Peace Title on Ooni of Ife

The Ooni of Ife,Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi was made the Ambassador of Messenger of Peace in Nigeria and a member of board of trustee group by the Scout Group of Nigeria.

This occasion took place in his palace over the weekend.At the investiture programme, the Scout group put Ooni along with the King of Saudi Arabia,or even beyond his level,and whom was also honoured earlier this year.

The group placed their belief on the premise of his peace and unity activities within and outside Nigeria since being crowned as Ooni.And the group specifically claimed that the reason for picking the Ooni, is because of the way he broke the 79 years long rivalry between the Ooni and the Alaafin of Oyo ,by paying him a courtesy visit,which typifies a true messenger of peace.

Oba Ogunwusi after accepting the title,promised to repay the gesture with commitment to the mission he had been asked to embark on,saying he would support the group whenever he is called upon to do so.
